The idea for banding together came after the flu bug and illness struck some of the Santas, and we would up scrambling around calling anyone we knew to take care of the children's expectations during the Christmas 2007 season. Shortly thereafter, a bunch of us got together at Santa Walter's house on a Friday evening for the first-ever Supper of Santas. We are a loose group without dues; however, ALL participating folks, including the Mrs. Clauses, elves, as well as reluctant reindeer have equal say in all discussion and decisions. During the summer of 2008, on August 16, the Santas of Northern California sponsored a "Healthy Kids: Santa Cares" day with a 'Walk With Santas' in the morning and a healthy lunch with Santas at the Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant in San Jose. |

Santa Walter is involved in 3 broad areas of impact that finally are being identified and categorized. Of course they will overlap and cross-fertilize as usually; however, keeping a general structure has become a prerequisite to sanity! First, Santa Walter is a member of many Santa groups and is a contributor and volunteer in supporting them in various ways.
Second, Santa Walter is the entrepreneur founder and lead Santa for Santa For Events, which is expanding services offered for Season 2009. The elves are bringing talents of face painting, Christmas tattoos, crafts, photography, and many more options. - Father Christmas or Santa Claus for public appearances

- Christmas parties for families and friends
- Santa visits to homes, day care centers, and schools
- Year-round opportunities for children to interact with Santa
Finally, Santa Walter is developing supporting materials and experiences for the experienced Santas, Mrs. Clauses, Elves and others who wish to add extra polish to their persona.
