The idea for banding together came after the flu bug and illness struck some of the Santas, and we would up scrambling around calling anyone we knew to take care of the children's expectations during the Christmas 2007 season. Shortly thereafter, a bunch of us got together at Santa Walter's house on a Friday evening for the first-ever Supper of Santas. We are a loose group without dues; however, ALL participating folks, including the Mrs. Clauses, elves, as well as reluctant reindeer have equal say in all discussion and decisions. 

During the summer of 2008, on August 16, the Santas of Northern California sponsored a "Healthy Kids: Santa Cares" day with a 'Walk With Santas' in the morning and a healthy lunch with Santas at the Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant in San Jose.
